Upcoming Events...Cut! Costume and the Cinema

The Louisiana Art & Science Muesum in Baton Rouge is holding a new exhibit featuring 43 period film costumes from some memorable movies. This will display now through July 31st. What you'll find; Keira Knightly's costume as Georgiana in 'The Duchess', and the ever so sexy and talented Johnny Depp's costume from 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. I'll be sure to add images from my future visit. Details, details, details is a must for inspiration!

New Discovery

I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with the designer/artist for To Be Contiuned Vintage Jewelry Undone. Nancy Rhett is one of a kind just like her designs. She takes recycled silk sari from Nepal and even vintage silk Hermes scarves then adds vintage brooches, pendants, and trinkets to make come to life again. Excellent Find

In one of my recent shopping spree at Anthropologie I encountered some of the cutest must have to add instant glam! A pair of large gold teardrop hoops with critine color stones wired throughout the lower half. A nice addition to an everyday causal look. I've worn them already with a black tank from WilliamRast Target collection and army green linen cargos from Victoria's Secret and Elizabeth and James rust leather woven clogs. Black shades to finish the look. I really enjoy shopping for one of kind style jewelry from Anthropologie. I also have a favorite pair I will purchase in the near future. (2nd photo)
